The lawyers

Who stands with you

Three lawyers, two on every case. Between us we’ve spent our careers on one side of the table: the person the institution didn’t think would push back.

  • Josephine Haskins working at a laptop in the office

    Josephine Haskins

    Founding partner

Leads the firm’s police misconduct and jail cases. Before founding the firm she spent years defending people charged with crimes, which is where she learned how arrests get written up.

  • Wendell Tillery standing by an office window holding a folder

Handles discrimination and disability rights cases, at work and in housing. He started his career at a legal aid office and has tried cases to juries in state and federal court.

  • Imani Okwuosa at a desk with a laptop and a stack of files

    Imani Okwuosa

    Associate

Runs the consumer protection practice: debt collectors, credit reports and predatory loans. She also works on the firm’s disability access cases.

How we work

The three who take your call

We take fewer cases than we’re asked to. That’s so each one can have two lawyers who know it well: one who leads, one who checks the work and steps in when the first is in trial.

You’ll have both lawyers’ direct numbers. We’ll tell you what’s happening in your case before you have to ask, and when we don’t know something yet, we’ll say so.

Start with what happened

Tell us in your own words. We’ll tell you which of us is the right fit, and whether we can help.
